John Russo’s My Uncle John Is a Zombie to premiere this month

My Uncle John is a Zombie John A. Russo

While Matt Birman prepares to direct GEORGE A. ROMERO PRESENTS: ROAD OF THE DEAD, which he co-wrote with Romero, and Romero's son Cameron prepares to direct the NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD prequel RISE OF THE LIVING DEAD, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD co-creator John A. Russo is about to premiere his own return to the world of zombies, MY UNCLE JOHN IS A ZOMBIE.

Russo wrote the horror comedy, co-directed it with Robert L. Lucas, and plays the title zombie. Uncle John is

a zombie whose family took him in and rehabilitated him (to a degree), and has been living in hiding all of these years.  Now in a post-zombie, modern world, Uncle John is about to be discovered.

As word gets out about Uncle John and the fact that, although he is a zombie, he still has considerable communication skills and a witty sense of humor, his popularity starts to spread faster than the zombie apocalypse itself, with news coverage (and fame) growing by the day.

However, there are some people who do not want to see zombies of any kind getting notoriety, who believe that the only good zombie is a dead zombie, and make it their mission to capture Uncle John and have a little fun at their hunt club.

Also in the cast are Gary Lee Vincent as John's nephew Oscar; DJ/model/dancer/firebreather Cy-Fi as John's beautiful caretaker and niece, who makes sure he's fed; Debbie Rochon; Russ Streiner (NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD's Johnny); Lloyd Kaufman; Nicholas Knight; Sal Lizard as Vampire Santa; Chuck Corby as Stush, the head of the zombie hunt club; NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD sheriff George Kosana as a retired sheriff; Solon Tsangaras as a hunter-turned-zombie; Susanne Banks as investigative journalist Heather Blanks; and Katharine Diane Watson as UK investigative journalist Laura Lance.

The world premiere of MY UNCLE JOHN IS A ZOMBIE is set to take place at the Oaks Theater in Oakmont, Pennsylvania at 7:30pm on Thursday, November 16th. If you would like to score a ticket to this event, you can do so on ShowClix.com.

There will be a meet and greet with members of the cast and crew after the screening.

I won't be able to make it to the premiere myself, so hopefully some distribution news will be following soon. I really want to watch MY UNCLE JOHN IS A ZOMBIE.
