Matrix Home Health Care Specialists has increased its capacity to provide trusted quality care for seniors with the purchase of Grace Homes. The two private residential care homes for seniors owned by Grace Homes previously only offered staffing and support by professionals specially trained to manage the needs of residents with memory loss and cognitive decline. This is about to be broadened to the expanded services that Matrix is able to provide.
Both Grace Homes are located in Hopkins, MN. Oakridge is a 9-bedroom rambling residence set on an acre lot, nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, and surrounded by mature pine trees. Next door is Wilshire Walk, a 5-bedroom residence.
Matrix has undertaken a comprehensive renovation project on the Oakridge residence. The senior residential care home will be updated and modernized to match the services offered by the Walnut Lodge residential home care facility Matrix owns and runs in Burnsville.
When the Oakridge renovation is complete, Matrix plans to offer acceptance to seniors living with chronic illness at both locations. “Grace Homes won’t just be for memory care residents anymore,” explains Karen Lawrence, RN, Owner of Matrix Home Health Care Specialists.
“We’ve been providing care for a wide range of chronic illnesses for years at Walnut Lodge,” says Lawrence. “Merging these two residential care companies allows us to provide expanded services to the growing number of seniors Matrix serves.”
All three homes will feature a home-like family environment that allows residents to lead active and independent lives, knowing that on-site health care and personal assistance is there when they need it. There are private and shared rooms, where residents benefit from personalized care plans that include daily activities and exercise. Nutritious, home-cooked meals are prepared on-site, which are tailored for each resident’s special dietary needs. All three residential care homes will be staffed exclusively by members of Matrix Home Health Care Specialists.
