With its star rating system many Uber drivers are now going to extra lengths in order to gain customer approval, as these photos prove.

A hilarious online gallery has showcased some of the most creative Uber drivers who have surpassed themselves when it comes to their taxi services.

In many cases passengers have been delighted at the refreshments provided on board with customers sharing photos of the myriad of snacks available in the car - a far cry from the occasional mint most of us are used to.

Others were treated to a multitude of in-car entertainment including flat screen televisions and computer games.

While most of the surprises were welcome ones, others were a little more unnerving with Halloween providing the perfect opportunity for drivers to give their customers a fright in spooky costumes.

It seems that Christmas is also an important  occasion among drivers decorating their cabs to look as festive as possible and even giving out holiday cards.
