MLB free agency: Rumors, deals, contracts, signings, hot stove news | Tuesday recap

Darvish still has great stuff and he'll get big bucks, but at age 31, two years after Tommy John surgery, he probably won't get as much as he expects. (Wally Skalij/Los Angeles Times)

MLB free agents can now officially begin to sign with teams. The hot stove can begin to burn and big names are expected to make headlines.

Will the Chicago Cubs let ace Jake Arrieta walk? Is slugger J.D. Martinez set to cash in after a huge second half in Arizona? Will Yu Darvish's poor World Series have an impact on his free-agent stock? Has CC Sabathia thrown his last pitch as a member of the Yankees? Can the Mets pluck Todd Frazier away from the Yankees and keep the New Jersey native close to home? Are the Phillies poised for a splash?

How many new free agents--after Monday's window to extend qualifying offers--are ready to hit the market and shake things up?
