Woman’s earlobe chopped off in Supaul land dispute
PATNA: A woman Kanti Devi (30), was badly injured after her left earlobe was chopped off by her neighbour following a land dispute at Laukha Bazaar under Town police station area in Supaul on Saturday.
Sadar police station SHO Rajeshwar Singh said the victim’s husband, Vinod Sah, and his neighbours Manibhushan Sah and Birendra Sah are engaged in a land dispute for the last one year and the incident was the fallout of the same issue.

“On Saturday, Kanti and Birendra’s wife Sunita Devi entered into a heated argument. Sunita, in a fit of rage, cut a rope used for hanging clothes outside Kanti’s house with a sharp object, which resulted in a scuffle between the two women. Later, Sunita’s husband also jumped into the fight and attacked Kanti with the sharp object and chopped off her earlobe,” said the SHO.
Singh said an FIR has been lodged on the basis of the statement recorded by the victim against Sunita, Birendra, Manibhushan and his wife Sarita Devi. All four were evading arrest.
