Driver killed, SUV looted in Bhojpur district

ARA: Six criminals hired an SUV from Saguna Mor locality in Patna on Tuesday on the pretext of going to the famous Kali temple at Bakhorapur village in Bhojpur district. Soon after boarding the vehicle, they killed the 20-year-old driver, Saurabh Kumar, and injured Santosh Kumar, a friend of the deceased, also present in the vehicle.
The deceased, a native of Dhanchhuhan village under Chauri police station, was killed near Babura on Ara-Chhapra road on Tuesday morning, said police.

Confirming the killing and robbing of SUV, Sadar SDPO Sanjay Kumar said investigation is on and the criminals will be soon nabbed.
Boy crushed to death: In an another tragic accident, a 16-year-old boy Pankaj Kumar, son of Bhola Sah, a resident of Khaira village under Sahar police station, died on the spot when his bike was crushed between a bus and a truck near Sahar block office on Tuesday. Police sources said Pankaj was returning from Arwal after attending his tuition classes with two other boys—Dharmendra Choudhary and Anil Kumar. Both Dharmendra and Anil have sustained severe injuries and are undergoing treatment at Ara sadar hospital.
