Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski called a moment during a press conference in which President Trump stopped to drink water “awkward” Thursday.
Watch:
During Wednesday’s press conference, President Trump addressed trade with Asian countries following his twelve-day Asia trip, and during his speech, he paused to take a sip of water.
“A second time? No,” Brezinski commented. “What’s worse is that wasn’t even Trump water. Did you see that? No, it wasn’t Trump water. A clearly parched president touts success in Asia but so far no payoff on his promise for a big announcement. Didn’t he mock Marco Rubio?”
“Yes he did,” a member of the Morning Joe panel commented.
“That was so awkward,” Mika commented on the President’s water pause.
Many in the media noticed the pause, and some pointed out similarities between Trump’s pause and a similar instance involving Marco Rubio during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Trump just had a “Little Marco” moment, where he needed to stop and have a sip of water.
