This is the hilarious moment a driver who'd been pulled over by cops after a 20-mile chase started DANCING on the motorway.

The video footage from Houston in Texas shows the motorist getting out of a car and facing the police who are armed.

At first the 25-year-old man, clad in a Donald Duck vest, shuffles over to the police before he is ordered to turn around and put his hands in the air.

But after being told to get on the ground, he instead starts to dance, with his arms waving and bum wiggling just yards in front of officers.

ABC News 13 reported that the chase started after police stopped the man for breaching traffic rules, but when they spoke to him, he sped off.

They caught up with him but he refused to pull over, so they had to use stinger spikes to bring the car to a halt.

Reporter Courtney Fischer reported: "That's when things got interesting."

The officers used a loudspeaker to shout instructions, and one officer even pointed his gun at the man.

They shouted: "Turn around! Put both hands in the air." But were then left confused by his reaction.

Courtney Fischer tweeted: "This guy is feeling himself. He just won't listen. Even though an officer is pointing a gun at him. Yes, you're on ABC 13."

Houston Police lieutenant Larry Crowson said: "At one point he backed up like he was going to run from the scene, potentially endangering officers by running across the freeway.

"At that point we deployed our K9 to safely take him into custody."

Later footage shows the man looking a bit more sheepish after being bitten by the police dog and questioned by officers in a police car outside a diner. He was then treated by an ambulance crew for minor injuries.

Police say he was charged with evading.
