Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn will visit Cambridgeshire tomorrow (November 18), it has emerged.

Mr Corbyn will be in Huntingdon for the Labour East Regional Conference 2017.

The opposition leader is scheduled to arrive at 12.30pm at the Marriott Hotel, Kingfisher Way.

Huntingdon Constituency Labour Party say they are proud to welcome him to the town.

They said on their Facebook page: "This is a big deal for us as a CLP but also for the local community.

"We want to attempt to challenge the received wisdom that Westminster politicians never leave the Westminster bubble - and if they do it is only at election time.

"The flags and banners will be out, so come to the hotel to say hello before Corbyn goes in for the East of England Conference.

"There may even be a singalong of 'Oh Jeremy Corbyn'."

The regional conference will also feature speeches from several shadow cabinet MPs.

Huntingdon CLP said last year's conference was the busiest in years and expects this year to be even bigger in celebration of gaining three Labour MPs in the region.
