LIVE NOW: Watch Raleigh Christmas Parade from every angle

WRAL's broadcast of the parade - on television, on WRAL.com and the WRAL News app, and on Facebook - begins at 9:30 a.m. and lasts until noon.

RALEIGH, N.C. β€” For thousands of Triangle-area families, the annual downtown Raleigh Christmas Parade marks the start of the holiday season. For the 73rd year, the parade will take place on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. WRAL is broadcasting the parade live and commericial-free, and viewers can choose their angle if they watch on WRAL.com or in one of the WRAL apps for mobile devices or connected TVs.

The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. at the corner of St. Mary's and Hillsborough streets, proceeds west to the State Capitol, then turns south on Fayetteville Street and finishes up at Lenoir Street.

Streets around the downtown parade route began closing at 6 a.m. Saturday and will remain closed until about 2 p.m.

That includes:

  • Hillsborough Street from W. Morgan to St. Mary's
  • St. Mary's from College Place to W. Morgan
  • Hillsborough Street from St. Mary's to Salisbury
  • All cross-streets along Hillsborough street for one block in each direction
  • W. Hargett Street from McDowell to Wilmington
  • Fayetteville Street from Hargett to Lenoir
  • All cross-streets along Fayetteville Street for one block in each direction

Even those with a busy Saturday morning can enjoy the parade, from just about any angle, on WRAL.com or the WRAL News app.

The digital presentation will include the full, television broadcast, streamed to any computer, tablet or phone and the option to choose which camera angle to watch. From Hillsborough Street to Fayetteville Street, to Sky 5, Drone 5 and Brian's street perspective, viewers can select and watch live video from any of 7 camera angles.
