ONE OF the country's funniest Irish imports, Ed Byrne, will be bringing his new show to Shanklin Theatre on Monday, November 27, at 8pm.
The stand-up comedian, a star of Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You and Live At The Apollo, will pose all sorts of baffling questions in his show, Spoiler Alert.
Byrne said: "I originally intended to call the show, I'll Millennial You In a Minute, but my promoter considered the title to be off-puttingly baffling.
"Are we filled with righteous anger at a world gone wrong, or are we all just a bunch of whiny little brats? In short, are we spoiled?"
The Irish comic, a stand-up stalwart of 20 years, said he firmly believes the current breed of parents spoil their kids rotten - whether it's to do with the ever-increasing size of garden trampolines or his own children's demand for elderflower cordial.
"Being on stage is enjoyable and this part of the writing process is enjoyable. The empty page though is a scary thing," explained Byrne.
