Etah leader offers Rs 10 lakh for capturing Bhansali and Deepika

Etah leader offers Rs 10 lakh for capturing Bhansali and Deepika
Gajendar Singh
AGRA: Gajendar Singh, Etah district president of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha, on Saturday announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh to anyone who captures film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and actor Deepika Padukone and bring them to him.
Calling Deepika a paid dancer, the Thakur leader said, “The film makers have portrayed our mother-like figure Padmavati as dancer like Deepika Padukone, who even strip clothes in film on the name of entertainment.”
“Padmavati and 16,000 other Rajput women had opted for jauhar before Alauddin Khilji and his men even couldn't touch them, and this 'naachnewali' and Bhansali are trying to tarnish her image.
We won’t allow it to happen. The makers of Padmavati will have to screen the film to us and after recommended cuts, the movie will be allowed to release, or they will have face our fury if anything wrong is portrayed against Padmavati,” Gajendar Singh said.
“I also also announce if the film maker does not abide by our demands, we will pay Rs 5 lakh each for Bhansali and Deepika to whoever brings them to us. Like Kshatriya lord Ram who cut off the nose of Surpanakha, we, the Thakurs, will chop off the nose of Deepika for insulting Padmavati,” he added.
The Thakur leader's bizarre announcement came days after UP principal secretary (home) Arvind Kumar wrote a letter to the Union information and broadcasting ministry that if the film is released in its current version, it may lead to a law and order situation in the civic polls-bound state.
Singh statement has come two days after Meerut-based Thakur leader offered Rs 5 crore to anyone who beheads the duo.
