Bhojpur fisherman in Pakistan custody

Bhojpur fisherman in Pakistan custody
ARA: A 55-year-old fisherman from Bahuara village under Jagdispur block in Bhojpur district, who used to work near Porbandar in Gujarat, has been in the custody of Pakistan since the past eight months.
Family members of the fisherman, Bhagwan Choudhary, came to know about his captivity only when the external affairs ministry sent a letter to the Bhojpur district administration asking it to verify the address.
Jagdispur SDO Kumar Pankaj and BDO Prabhakar Kumar visited Bahuara village on Friday and found that Choudhary actually hails from the village.
“Choudhary is a resident of Bahuara village. His wife Parvati Choudhary lives with her son Lakshman Choudhary at the village. Lakshman has left for Gujarat in serach of his missing father. Although Pakistani officials arrested Choudhary on espionage charges, he is actually an innocent fisherman,” the BDO said.
