Pearl Fiber Arts is participating in Little Boxes, Portland's shop-local holiday extravaganza. On Friday, Nov. 24, Blind Coffee Roasters will be at the store, offering samples, plus beans for sale. Also that weekend: the store will feature silk scarves and other goodies by Sunday of kNiTpUnK and Fierce Fibers will be on hand with yarns and spinning fibers galore. Wool 'N Wares Yarn Shop launches its anniversary sale Friday, Nov. 24. As part of that, "for every purchase November 24-December 2, receive a 40 percent off one item coupon good December 20-24, 2018!" the store writes. And there's more: "Bring a donation, get a raffle ticket - bring a non-perishable food donation to the shop, between now and December 16, you will be entered into a raffle to win a $50 Wool 'N Wares Gift Certificate!" the store writes. "All collected food will be donated to the West Linn Food Pantry." Wool 'N Wares is at 21580 Willamette Drive in West Linn.
Alpacas of Oregon is having an open barn event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25. "Over Thanksgiving weekend, you're invited to watch the alpacas meander the farm," the farm writes. "Meet the alpaca youngsters and their mothers and browse the barn store for luxurious alpaca products. This is a free event." Ooh, and if you want to learn to felt an alpaca scarf, they're having a class for that. "$25-$75 covers your material and instruction," the barn writes.
