Hyderabad: A. Varun Goud once again stood tall for the Hyderabad side by scoring a composed century here on Day Four in the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy match against Uttar Pradesh which ended in a draw.
Resuming their second innings at 145 for 3, the home side rode on to Varun’s brilliant innings to reach 299 and set a 218-run target for U.P. side. Varun used 291 balls along with 19 boundaries and a six to reach 127.
In reply, the visitors finished the final day at 58 for 1 and clinch three points by the virtue of first innings lead. Hyderabad had to settle with one.
