The bad guy may be behind bars but authorities say they don’t think this was the only time he did this and are looking for more victims from Santa Rosa County, Florida all the way to Mobile and Baldwin counties.

It was not a law enforcement officer that pulled a driver over in a Pensacola parking lot with lights, sirens and flashing a badge. It was 46- year old Martin Goodman pretending to be a police officer according to Escambia County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chip Simmons. “We noticed a badge, a shield that looked like it was from some sort of security office and we found the flashing light.”

A road rage incident led to his arrest but the investigation revealed, this may not have been the first time he had done something like this. “In May he actually stopped a female driver. He ordered that female driver into his car. He is being charged in that case with attempted sexual battery, kidnapping and impersonating a police officer.”

Goodman is off the streets now and behind bars on $2.5 million bond. “He did admit he was with the victim in my particular case back in May. I’m not sure what his motive is at this time,” says lead investigator Jason Cowen.

The traffic stop in the parking lot and the other traffic stop in May, where the victim was allegedly assaulted, are six months apart. Authorities fear there are more victims out there.

If you are ever unsure about who is attempting to pull you over authorities say, always got to a well-lit area like a parking lot, call 911 and put your hazard lights on but, routine traffic stops are not made by unmarked cars.
