Dharna at Madhubani railway station to protest late running of trains

Piqued by unusually late running of trains apart from various other problems faced by railway passengers, the District Consumer Forum and Mazdoor Kisan Manch, jointly staged a daylong dharna at Madhubani railway station of East Central Railway (ECR) on Sunday.

MADHUBANI: Piqued by unusually late running of trains apart from various other problems faced by railway passengers, the District Consumer Forum and Mazdoor Kisan Manch, jointly staged a daylong dharna at Madhubani railway station of East Central Railway (ECR) on Sunday.
The charter of demands include extension of all trains, terminating at Darbhanga, upto Jainagar, at least one superfast train daily from Jainagar for Mumbai, running of trains as per the railway time-table, Ranchi-Jainagar train be made daily and Jainagar-Anand Bihar too should run daily.

The other demands were stoppage of Antyoday Express at Madhubani and construction of railway overbridge at railway crossings No 12 and 13 near Madhubani. District Consumer Forum general secretary Chandra Mohan Jha and Mazdoor Kisan Manch convenor Jatadhar Jha, led the dharna.
Prominent among others who participated in the dharna were senior advocate Rishideo Singh, Lal Bahadur Singh, Jyoti Raman Jha 'Bawa', Subhash Chandra Jha and Rakesh Singh.
