Ghana defender Kadiri Mohammed has expressed his determination to break into the Black Stars set-up after a stellar performance for Austria Vienna.

The versatile guardsman has been a key performer for Austria Vienna in the Austrian Bundesliga since joining from Ghanaian outfit AshantiGold in 2016.

Despite his remarkable outings for Thorsten Fink's side, Mohammed has been overlooked by Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah for selection into the Black Stars fold.

However, the 21-year-old is still buoyant that he will continue to make case with his performance in order to break into the team.

“The Austrian league is a very competitive one and I thank the manager for reposing a lot of confidence in me by giving me games. I try to give off my best in every game as I want to make it very difficult for my club coach and that of the Black Stars (Kwasi Appiah) to ignore my effort,” Mohammed told Class Sports.

“I have big ambitions as a player and every match day gives me a fine opportunity to let the world know what I can also do,” he added.

Mohammed has made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Blue and White lads this campaign.
