‘A casualty has been taken to hospital after a two-car collision in Runcorn. Cheshire police said the incident was reported at 3.07pm and involved a blue Renault Clio, possibly two, and happened on the link road between the Weston Point and Central Expressways. The road is marked shut on the traffic section of Halton Borough Council’s website.’

Pet dog shot dead by thugs
Horrible. Armed raiders broke into a Liverpool home and shot a pet dog, killing the Staffy cross breed.
The ruthless thugs blasted the pet as they targeted a Huyton property in the early hours of this morning.
Police patrols responding to the incident then found a small drugs farm at the address.
Officers were called to Primrose Court at around 12.20am over reports of a disturbance.
