The concern for black ice on the roads continues Sunday night with low temperatures expected to refreeze melting snow runoff.Snow began falling in parts of North Carolina, and the Upstate early Friday morning.Several inches of snow covered western North Carolina:Hendendersonville- 10-13 inchesWaynesville - 10.5 inchesFlat Rock - 11 inchesAsheville - 6-11 inchesMaggie Valley - 12 inchesFletcher - 7-15 inchesBrevard - 10.5 inchesPisgah Forest - 7 inchesAreas in the Upstate also saw a few inches of snow:Travelers Rest - 5 inchesGreenville - 1.5 inchesPine Mountain - 4.5 inchesSeneca - 2 inchesPickens - 2 inchesClemson- 1.5 inchesInman - 3 inchesSpartanburg - 3 inchesLandrum - 2 inchesWYFF News 4 meteorologist Chris Justus said temperatures would fall after sundown again Sunday night and that run-off from melting snow could turn into black ice.Justus said temperatures will warm up into the lower 40s Sunday afternoon but would fall into the 20's after dark.This week chilly weather will settle into the Upstate, with highs in the 40s, and lows in the upper 20s and low 30s.To check the closings and delays click here.

  • Flat Rock - 11 inches
  • Asheville - 6-11 inches
  • Maggie Valley - 12 inches
  • Fletcher - 7-15 inches
  • Brevard - 10.5 inches
  • Pisgah Forest - 7 inches

Areas in the Upstate also saw a few inches of snow:

  • Greenville - 1.5 inches
  • Pine Mountain - 4.5 inches
  • Seneca - 2 inches
  • Pickens - 2 inches
  • Clemson- 1.5 inches
  • Inman - 3 inches
  • Spartanburg - 3 inches
  • Landrum - 2 inches

WYFF News 4 meteorologist Chris Justus said temperatures would fall after sundown again Sunday night and that run-off from melting snow could turn into black ice.

Justus said temperatures will warm up into the lower 40s Sunday afternoon but would fall into the 20's after dark.

This week chilly weather will settle into the Upstate, with highs in the 40s, and lows in the upper 20s and low 30s.
