Azamgarh village pradhan arrested for murdering Gorakhpur man

VARANASI: The Azamgarh Police on Saturday arrested the pradhan of Bhadaon village for his alleged involvement in the murder of a 27-year-old man from Gorakhpur district.
Shyam Narayan Rai, the accused, has been booked under section 302 of IPC and sent to jail. The police have also recovered the pistol used in the crime from the accused.
According to reports, the body of one Vibhanshu Pratap Pandey was found with bullet injuries in Bilariyaganj area of the district on Friday.Police had also found an abondoned car at some distance from the crime scene.
Azamgarh SP Ajay Kumar Sahni said that during police investigation it came to the light that the murdered man had an affair with a local girl. The deceased had also made an obscene video of the girl to blackmail her.
