PATNA: Sleuths of
National Investigation Agency (
NIA) on Saturday quizzed
Gopalganj motor vehicle inspector (
MVI) Divya Prakash for at least an hour in connection with the arrest of two suspected
Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives Abu Naeem Sheikh alias Sohail Khan and Dhanu Raja alias Bedar Bakht.
While Sheikh, who had made
Gopalganj his base, was arrested from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on November 29, his associate Dhannu was nabbed by the NIA sleuths in Gopalganj on December 3.
The duo were allegedly plotting terror attacks at vital installations across the country.
Sources said Sheikh managed to procure a driving licence from Gopalganj in 2015 by identifying himself as Sohail Khan. It is learnt that the NIA has asked MVI Prakash to hand over all documents submitted by Sheikh at the time of procuring the driving licence to it.
Sources said Sheikh had submitted a voter identity card and a fake J P University MA certificate while procuring the licence.
The NIA sleuths also quizzed several other people in Jangalia locality of the town where Sheikh lived.
