Investigators said they took advantage of the victim.

Police said the case caught attention because the victim's bedsores had become so bad, they would be septic and she had to be hospitalized several times.

Police said the victim allowed the three defendants, Danielle Vanyur, Destiney Clark and Paige Heavrin, to live in their home in exchange for taking care of her and paying the bills.

Instead, the victim had to be hospitalized for bedsores.

Police said the defendants spent more than $5,000 of her money for personal use.

The defendants failed to pay the bills, allowing the home to go into foreclosure and the utilities to be turned off, officials said.

When police came to the home to investigate, they said they found trash piled up 2 feet high, animal feces scattered about, cockroaches and fleas.

"Just by the nature of the allegations, the county would object to a bond reduction. She certainly has a history of fraudulent use of a credit card and that would just seem this is escalating after that, and certainly we're talking about a vulnerable victim," Kristin Southard said.

A relative told WLKY the defendants tried to care for the victim but speculated it was more than they could handle.

The women are facing charges of exploiting an adult, abuse or neglect of an adult and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Heavrin and Clark were released on their own recognizance.

Banyur's bail was set at $2,500.
