The Police Command in Enugu State is investigating the cause of the fire that gutted substantial part of the Nigerian Bar Association complex in Enugu.
The command’s spokesman, Ebere Amaraizu, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu on Tuesday that the inferno occurred at about 8pm on December 11.
Amraizu said the inferno destroyed property, equipment and office items worth about N150 million as revealed by the NBA executive officials during a preliminary investigation.
He said: ‘‘The Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu Branch, lost its secretariat complex to an inferno on Monday.
‘‘The multi-million naira complex and its equipment as well as office items were gutted by fire.”
The spokesman assured that police operatives investigating the incident would do a very thorough job to unravel the cause of the fire.
