Disbarred attorney Harold Brady has been arrested on a fraud charge.

The Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime  (C-TOC) division has confirmed that Brady was charged Wednesday afternoon with fraudulent conversion.

According to C-TOC, the allegations involve just over $4 million and is related to the sale of a real estate property.

Brady turned himself in to the offices of the police Fraud Squad this afternoon and was charged after he was questioned by investigators.

Police sources say he will remain in custody.

Investigators also want to interview him about the sale of a property owned by Factories Corporation (FCJ) of Jamaica for approximately  $150 million.

The FCJ had complained to the General Legal Council (GLC) that it is still owed approximately  $110 million from the transaction.

The complaint led to a disciplinary hearing at the GLC where a panel recommended that Brady be struck off the list of attorneys authorised to practise in Jamaica.
