Gujarat Botad election results 2017 LIVE UPDATES from Gadhada (SC), Botad constituencies: Gujarat Elections results were declared on Monday. BJP’s Saurabh Patel (Dalal) has won in Botad. The competition since the past two decades never looked this close. Saurabh Patel of BJP was leading in the election race earlier today. For peaceful and people-friendly elections, the Election Commissioner has instructed that every polling station should be equipped with Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) like drinking water, shed, toilet, ramp for the physically challenged voters, a standard voting compartment etc. for the convenience and facilitation of voters. At least 182 women-managed polling stations will also be set up for the entire state of Gujarat for the first time. Coming to the Botad district, as per the 2011 Census, the Botad municipality had a population of 130,327 persons out of which 67,675 are males while 62,652 are females.The district had 183 polling stations and went to polls in the first phase on December 9. As per the Election Commission, the final voter turnout in the first phase of the Gujarat elections for 89 seats stood at 66.75 per cent which is well below 71.32 percent voter turnout in 2012. The big names in the first phase of the poll included Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Congress’s Shaktisinh Gohil and Paresh Dhanani.
