Gujarat Aravalli election results 2017 LIVE from Modasa, Bayad, Dahegam, Gandhinagar South constituencies: Gujarat Elections are more unpredictable this time. Within last few years, Gujarat has seen a social churn with growing dissatisfaction amongst the Dalit and the Patels. Congress President Rahul Gandhi has taken full advantage of the scenario with his election rhetorics, making the elections, a tough competition for the BJP. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s charismatic persona and larger-than-life image in the state cast a powerful impact on the minds of the voters’. To ensure smooth, the Election Commissioner had instructed that every polling station should be equipped with Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) like drinking water, shed, toilet, ramp for the physically challenged voters, a standard voting compartment etc. for the convenience and facilitation of voters. At least 182 women-managed polling stations will also be set up for the entire state of Gujarat for the first time. Coming to the Aravalli district, as per the 2011 Census, the Aravalli municipality had a population of 1,024,000. Aravalli is a hub of small-scale industries, thus, the sentiments of the business community can be adjudged from the winner of the polls of the district. The district went to polls in the second phase, on December 14. As per the Election Commission, Gujarat has 2,22,96,867 registered voters out of which 1,15,47,435 are male voters and 1,07,48,977 are female voters. In the 2nd phase of Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017, the Total Number of EVMs to be used is 28,114 and the Total Number of Polling Stations is 25,558.
