Transport official sits on Rs 50 crore  worth properties, lands in ACB net  

 The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials unearthed over Rs 50 crore (as per the market value) worth of disproportionate assets (DA) amassed by administrative officer in Road Transport

VIJAYAWADA: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials unearthed over Rs 50 crore (as per the market value) worth of disproportionate assets (DA) amassed by administrative officer in Road Transport Office (RTO) Bollapalli Seshadri Krishna Kishore during the raids conducted at his residence in Nellore and seven other different places across the state on Thursday. Kishore is presently attached to Transport Commissioner’s office in Vijayawada. 

ACB officials said they conducted raids at around 6 am at various places in Nellore, Guntur, Narasaraopet, Piduguralla, Ongole and Visakhapatnam. ACB sources suspect that Krishna Kishore amassed the wealth by taking bribes for official favours rendered to contractors and brokers. Officials seized documents pertaining to properties worth around `3 crore (book value), ` 1,37,000 in cash, 250 grams of gold ornaments and 350 grams of silver, household articles worth approximately `5 lakh.

They also seized two cars worth `12 lakh and promissory notes. “In the raids, officials found B Srinivasa Ram Prasad runs a motor driving school in Narasaraopeta and a plastic re-cycle unit at Gannavaram near Vijayawada on behalf of his brother Krishna Kishore,” said RP Thakur, director general, ACB. Krishna Kishore has been placed under arrest and a DA  case has been filed against him.
