LUCKNOW: Teams from Lucknow and Barabanki police have come together for a joint operation to crack the dacoity in Chinhat, said an official on Thursday.
In the wee hours of Monday, seven miscreants-four of them armed-had barged into the house of Vinod Yadav in Juggar, Chinhat. They had looted jewellery worth lakhs and opened fire at the residents.
SP (north) Anurag Vats said three persons had been rounded up in the case.

He also said that in four back-to-back dacoities-three in Barabanki and one of Lucknow-the modus operandi was similar.
"In all four cases, the miscreants dragged the almirah from the house, took out its valuables and fled," said Vats.
He added the decision came after four dacoities were reported in a radius of 10km on the border of Lucknow and Barabanki.
Sources said a 'gang' had settled in hutments near Kamta crossing and would conduct recces during day time. At night, they would attack targets with arms.
However, when TOI contacted SP (Barabanki) Anil Kumar Singh, he rubbished reports of three back-to-back dacoities in his district. He confirmed only one incident of dacoity and added that there was some confusion over an operation with Lucknow police and that he was unaware of it.
