Nineteen-year-old Kajal Sharma bagged the title of Miss Hamirpur last evening. A student of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Government College, Kajal thinks big and wants to do bring about a positive change in society. She wants to be an IPS officer. “Modelling is a hobby. If I am unable to acheive my dream, I will join the fashion industry,” she said.

The runners-up were Sargam and Neha. The beauty contest was jointly organised by Media Vision and Name & Fame companies. The event was hosted by Arvinder Bhatti, younger brother of late Jaspal Bhatti, and co-hosted by Saloni. A Punjabi artiste and model Priyanka Verma was one of the judges of the event, while the others were fashion designers Poonam and Pooja.

Mehak Singh bagged the title of Mrs Hamirpur and Monika Sharma and Monika were first and second runners-up. The title of Mr Hamirpur went to Vishal, while and Sahil and Anurag were the first and second runners-up. As many as 40 contestants participated in the contest.
