After a winter storm dropped several inches of snow on the Lowcountry Jan. 3, businesses all over the area were forced to close -- some for days -- because of snow and ice that made travel impossible for some, and extremely difficult for many more.
Days of lost revenue such as that could be crippling to a restaurant, even with Charleston's seemingly ever-booming food and beverage industry.
ABC News 4's Anne Emerson is talking to local restaurant workers Friday, who say they're counting on the benefits of this month's installment of Charleston Restaurant Week for a much need boost in business after facing recent roadblocks.
Charleston Restaurant Week kicked off Wednesday, January 10, and runs through Jan. 21. For a complete list of restaurants participating in restaurant week, CLICK HERE.
