Boys game of the week: Lincoln Charter at Carmel Christian, Monday

This is the last non-conference game of the year for the Eagles, who finish the regular season with seven consecutive opponents in the Southern Piedmont after Monday’s game.

The Eagles scheduled as many tough non-conference opponents as they could, and Monday’s matchup is no different. Carmel Christian, coached by former UNC-Charlotte star Byron Dinkins, enters with an 18-3 record, and the Cougars feature one of the top juniors in the state in 6-foot-4 wing Donovan Gregory.

Girls game of the week: North Gaston at Hunter Huss, Friday

The Huskies got the Wildcats 56-49 in a Dec. 12 game in Dallas. That win is the difference between third and fourth place in the Big South, as Huss enters the week 5-2 in conference play while North Gaston comes in 4-3. The Wildcats will look to climb into a tie for third with a win, while Huss can stay locked into third place with a season sweep.
