Nearly three-quarters of respondents in a new poll don’t think President Trump is a genius, as he described himself.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll finds 73 percent of respondents don’t think Trump is a genius, compared with 21 percent who think he is.

The poll also finds that respondents are split on whether they think Trump is mentally stable.

Nearly half, 47 percent, don’t think Trump is mentally stable, compared with 48 percent of respondents who think the president is mentally stable.

The poll of 1,005 adults was conducted from Jan. 15 to 18. Its margin of error is 3.5 percentage points.

Earlier this month, Trump described himself as a “very stable genius” in defense of his mental fitness for office.

“Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart,” Trump tweeted.

The tweets came after a new book on the Trump White House appeared to raise questions about Trump’s fitness for office.

Last week, Trump’s doctor gave the president a clean bill of health, declaring him physically and mentally fit for the challenges of the nation’s highest office.
