In a development in the ongoing investigation of Boddupalli Srinivas murder case, the II Town police arrested three absconding suspects here on Tuesday.

Investigating officer N. Venkateswara Rao said the trio was arrested near Panagal crossroads around 9 a.m. when they were triple riding on a motorcycle. They were identified as Mandra Mahesh, Mittapally Sai and Prasad (accused 7, 8 and 11 in the case). They confessed to their involvement, and were remanded in judicial custody. The police earlier said the murder of the Congressman last Thursday was a “spur-of-the-moment” act by the victim’s followers. Following a prima-facie investigation, they named 11 accused for their involvement in the murder, and probe is on.
