BJP chief Amit Shah to visit Dakshina Kannada and Udupi from Feb 18

MANGALURU: BJP national president Amit Shah will undertake a three-day visit of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts starting February 18. State unit of the party said the visit of Shah will serve as rallying point for district units in their preparedness for the forthcoming polls to Karnataka state assembly. Shah is expected to hold a series of meetings with local BJP leaders on this occasion.
As per schedule released by the state unit, Shah will reach MIA on a chartered flight on February 18 at 8pm, address party workers outside the airport, before leaving for Kukke Sri Subramanya Kshetra and stay there overnight.
After a temple visit at 8.30am the next day, he will address party workers at 9am and leave for Puttur at 9.15am. He will address students of Vivekananda College of Engineering at Puttur at 10.30am. Shah will address Navashakti convention of three assembly constituencies at Bantwal later.
Post Bantwal, Shah will visit the house of Deepak Rao, slain Hindu activist at Surathkal before leaving for Udupi where he will take part in fishermen convention organised at Malpe at 5pm. Shah will visit Udupi Sri Krishna temple between 7pm to 8pm and meet the Paryaya Sri Vidyadeesha Tirtha swamiji of Palimaru Math and Sri Vishvesha Tirtha of Pejavar Adhokshaja mut. On February 20, he will participate in party workers' meet at 10am and leave for Uttara Kannada around 1pm.
