Borussia Dortmund's desire to sign Michy Batshuayi could hand Chelsea an important foothold in the race to sign Christian Pulisic this summer.
Dortmund are ready to make an offer for Batshuayi who has impressed since joining from Chelsea on loan on deadline day scoring five goals in three games.
Chelsea refused to sell the Belgium striker in January but may be open to negotiating Batshuayi's departure in the summer if it opens the door for them to sign Pulisic.

The USA international is regarded as one of the most talented teenagers in world football at the moment.
He has attracted enquiries from Manchester United and Liverpool who have noted his electric pace and ability to play as a winger or playmaker.
Pulisic is under contract until 2020 and Dortmund are reluctant to sell but the 19-year-old has openly admitted a desire to test himself in the Premier League.

Chelsea have followed him closely over the past year and are keen to make a move ahead of the World Cup.
They know Dortmund will demand a big fee but the prospect of holding a bargaining chip such as Batshuayi could work to their advantage.
Pulisic is the youngest player to represent USA in a World Cup qualifier and has 20 caps. At 17, he became the youngest foreign player to score in the Bundesliga.
