Donna Air has finally split with her on-off boyfriend James Middleton, it has been reported.
The actress, currently starring in ITV show Dancing on Ice, and Kate Middleton's brother, 30, have dated for five years.
The pair have had a rollercoaster romance but James was spotted in the audience of Dancing On Ice to support Donna, 38, just last month.
But the former Byker Grove star told the Mail On Sunday they "uncoupled" over Christmas and began telling friends and family this week.
"James and I are no longer an item," said Donna.
"We parted ways in December but remain the very best of friends and always will be."
It brings an end to the relationship which began in 2013 when Donna and James met in London private
members club 5 Hertford Street.
Only last year James had been talking of marriage.
"I love Donna very much. Marriage is absolutely not something I’m scared of, but it isn’t necessarily the be-all and end-all," he said.
Donna has a 13-year-old daughter named Freya from a previous relationship with multimillionaire Damian Aspinall.
Geordie favourite Donna remains in Dancing On Ice and will be skating for survival tonight.
