Three-day Dharma Samsad commences in Udupi

The three-day Dharma Samsad commenced with an attractive Shobha Yatra that began at Rajangana in Sri Krishna Mutt in Udupi and culminated at Royal Garden near Kalsanka in Udupi.

The Shoba Yatre was led by RSS Sarsangchalak Mohan Bhagavat, Pejavar mutt seer Sri Vishveshwara Theertha Swamiji and Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.

A large number of seers including Suttur mutt seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Adichunchanagiri mutt seer Nirmalananda Swamiji took part in the Shoba Yatre.

Pejavar mutt seer Sri Vishveshwara Theertha Swamiji inaugurated the three-day Dharma Samsad by lighting a lamp.

In his address, VHP International Working President Praveen Thogadia said that administration of Hindu temples by the government is against the Constitution and an insult to it.

"Let the government, which controls temples, try to control a mosque or a church," he said called upon the seers to fight for freeing government control over temples.

He called upon Sangh Parivar cadre to chart out a strategy to fight for a total ban on cow slaughter.
