Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) has said it will partner with 10 foreign companies to promote made-in-Nigeria products for international competitiveness.

The President of KADCCIMA, Dr Muheeba Dankaka, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Kaduna.

Dankaka said the 10 companies from 10 countries would be at the 39th Kaduna International Trade Fair specifically to partner with credible local manufacturers.

“We have invited 10 foreign countries whose companies will be at our trade fair, not to display their goods but to partner with our local investors to tap from the huge potential of our local products.

“Challenges affecting made in Nigeria products like government policy, finance, quality, and access to foreign markets among others would be looked into during the trade fair seminar and business round table.

“We hope to at the end of the day, come out with ways to promote our locally produced goods within and outside the country by first improving government patronage,’’ she said.

She said that the 38th edition of the trade fair suggested that Public Private Partnership (PPP) remained relevant in bridging the infrastructure gap in the country.

According to her, the step is yielding the desired fruits with PPP gaining more grounds at the states and federal levels.

“The PPP strategy is being embraced by Kaduna State Government which has continued to sample the opinion of the organised business sector for crucial business decisions.

“We equally commend the state’s ease of doing business initiative which makes it possible for one to set up an industry within two weeks in the state.’’

The president assured Nigerians of the success of the fair which would hold from Feb. 23 to March 1, with the theme, “Promoting Made-in-Nigeria Goods for International Competitiveness’’. (NAN)
