VIJAYAWADA: Four persons were injured in a clash between members of two groups at Nuzvid on Sunday. The injured were rushed to Vijayawada government hospital.
According to Nuzvid inspector Ramkumar, the injured Mocherla Jesus Babu, G Jaya Rao, J Anil and R Ramu were attending a funeral in Nuzvid town, where they had an heated argument with a Pamarthy Sai and his friends over some old issues.
Unable to control their anger Pamarthy Sai’s group, who were under the influence of alcohol, attacked Jesus Babu and his friends with country knives. In the attack, four received deep cuts.
