Mt. Pleasant crews responded to a house fire at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at 313 Hawthorne Street, off Coleman Boulevard.

The fire has now been called "suspicious" by The Mount Pleasant Police Department and Mount Pleasant Fire Department.

No injuries were reported.

An ABC News 4 team member reports that at 9:15 a.m., there was lots of smoke coming from the home, and family members were behind crime scene tape.

An ABC News reporter on scene said four males came out of the house shaking and trembling. Individuals were seen wearing hazmat suits leaving the property.
