Idol of Lord Hanuman desecrated, clashes break out in Nawada

PATNA: A clash broke out between two communities after an idol of Lord Hanuman was found damaged in Ansar Ganj of Nawada district on Friday morning, police said here.
The idol was found desecrated on Friday morning following which clashes broke out, District Magistrate said.
Police fired 12 rounds in air to bring situation under control.

It is to be noted that the incident took place a day before the country will be celebrating Hanuman Jayanti.
Security personnel have been employed in the area to avert any untoward incident, DM said, adding the situation is now in control.
