Morena praises Sundowns fightback against Baroka

Cape Town - Thapelo Morena feels Mamelodi Sundowns had to get it right coming from a goal down to beat Baroka FC 2-1 in an Absa Premiership encounter played on Sunday.

Bakgaga took the lead through Lucky Nguzana, but goals from Wayne Arendse and Percy Tau secured the three points for Pitso Mosimane’s side.

The win helped Sundowns open a four-point advantage over second place Orlando Pirates with the two teams having now played the same number of games.

The Brazilians lead the Premiership table with 49 points with Pirates in second on 45 points.

Morena told Supersport: "First of all I had to thank God and the technical team, who gave me a chance coming back from injury.

"The game was very tough, but we had to do what we had to do. They scored first and we had to fight for the goals that we scored.

"Things we do during the game is what we do at training, so it’s easy for us to see through situations like that even under difficult circumstances.

"But we are always working to get things right,"
