A group protesting anti-Semitism has driven three billboards criticising Jeremy Corbyn pass the Labour Party’s HQ in London.

The Community United against Labour Party anti-Semitism (Culpa) group took out the adverts after raising more than £4,500 through a crowd funding website.

The idea was taken from Oscar winning movie ‘Three billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri’, which used the same tactic to highlight an unsolved murder.

The ads are critical of Mr Corbyn’s handling of the racism problem within his party and feature slogans such as ‘Failure to act on antisemitism’, ‘Holocaust deniers harboured by Labour’ and ‘Institutional antisemitism in Corbyn’s Labour’.

The Labour leader has vowed to tackle anti-Jewish racism after being criticised for his apparent lack of action.

The issue will be debated in Parliament today.

But Jonathan Hoffman, who is spokesperson for Culpa, doesn’t think Mr Corbyn is taking the matter seriously.

He said: ‘This is a grassroots action borne of intense frustration at the lack of action by Jeremy Corbyn.

‘There is no indication that he takes antisemitism seriously. No recognition that for Jews antisemitism is not just a matter of bad behaviour, it is a matter of survival.

‘If he is unwilling or unable to deliver on the fight against antisemitism, then Labour must find someone who can.’

The convoy of advertising vans was driven around the Westminster area of central London before passing Labour HQ in Victoria Street.

Mr Hoffman added the idea for the anti-Semitism billboards came from a group that included current Labour members.

Justice 4 Grenfell also used three billboards idea last month as it continued to fight for the victims of the fire at a council block, in west London, which claimed 71 lives.

A Labour Party spokesperson said: ‘Anti-Semitism has absolutely no place in the Labour Party, and we are committed to challenging and campaigning against it, in all its forms.

‘Labour takes all complaints of anti-Semitism extremely seriously, which are fully investigated and appropriate disciplinary action taken in line with our rules and procedures.’
