The Red Devils are set to overhaul their squad this summer with Jose Mourinho eyeing reinforcements.

The United boss previously indicated he was not prioritising bringing in any forwards at the end of the season, with midfield and defence the areas which needed addressing most.

However, the futures of Martial, Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata have come under more speculation in recent weeks.

And it appears Mourinho has his eye on Watford’s young star, despite his own struggles over the past few months.

Richarlison, 20, had a blistering start to life in the Premier League following his £11m arrival from Fluminese.

While the goals have severely dried up for the 20-year-old, he does have an admirer in Mourinho.

And according to the Daily Mail, the United manager has made Richarlison a key target.

Watford value the Brazilian at £40m, which would see them receive more than treble what they paid last summer, and the club are desperate to hang onto him.

Several clubs around Europe and in England, though, are keen on raiding the Hornets for Richarlison.

They are said to include Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG, Monaco, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

At present, the Daily Mail add United are favourites, and should Richarlison join, Martial’s career in Manchester would undoubtedly come to an end.

The former Monaco man has been at the club since 2015. but talks over a new contract have stalled.

Martial is unhappy with having been shifted right since Alexis Sanchez has come in, and Mourinho will now listen to offers.

Manchester United want £60m and see Richarlison as his ideal replacement, with the plan to have Rashford as a second striker to Romelu Lukaku.
