Father of two-year-old girl who was found dead in a suitcase near train tracks in New Jersey is arrested in Puerto Rico

The father of the missing Virginia toddler who was found dead in a suitcase in New Jersey earlier this month has been arrested in Puerto Rico.
Two-year-old Te'Myah Plummer was last seen by her family in August 2017. Her body was discovered in a suitcase near the PATH tracks in Jersey City two weeks ago.
Her father, Travis Lamont Plummer, 37, was located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 19, according to NBC.

The baby's remains were found near PATH train tracks in Jersey City by a Port Authority employee on April 11
He was arrested and is awaiting extradition proceedings back to New Jersey, where he's facing a charge of desecrating human remains.
It's still not clear how the toddler died but the Hudson County prosecutor's office said Monday they believe she died outside of New Jersey.
The baby's remains were found near PATH train tracks in Jersey City by a Port Authority employee on April 11 while he was conducting a routine inspection of train tracks.

Richmond police said on March 2 that Te'Myah and Travis went missing and asked for help in finding her, but they did not believe they were in any danger, as reported by WRIC.
Police in Richmond sent a news release about the missing child at the time, saying, 'We would like to hear from whomever may be caring for Te'Myah Plummer, probably a family member. We need to confirm she is safe.'
Authorities initially believed that Plummer and his daughter had 'relocated to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, area or perhaps Jersey City, New Jersey'.
