Cristiano Ronaldo prefers Mohamed Salah to join the club over the likes of Neymar, according to Don Balon .

Ronaldo is looking to be the club's No.9, and sees Salah as an ally more than a rival, as opposed to the Brazilian, who might challenge him as a leader of the team.

Because of Ronaldo's preferences, Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to change course away from Neymar and go after Salah, who may be set to leave Liverpool if their £200 million price tag is met.


Man Utd considering re-signing Evans


Manchester United are weighing up the merits of re-signing Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion on a cut-price deal, The Sun   reports.

WBA are said to have turned down bids from Man City, Arsenal and Leicester throughout the defender's time at the Hawthorns, but may be forced to part ways with the 30-year-old due to relegation.

It's claimed that Evans has a clause in his contract that states he can leave for £3 million in the event of West Brom's demotion to the Championship.

City to resist Madrid offers


Manchester City will turn down any offers from Real Madrid for their stars, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Madrid are set for an off-season overhaul and could bid for several of City's key players, including Leroy Sane, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and John Stones. 

But City management are set to hold firm and tell Madrid that their star players will not be available at any price.


Barca step up interest in Ruiz


Barcelona have increased their interest in Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Blaugrana have followed Ruiz for some time but have recently stepped up their interest, sending scouts to watch Betis face Atletico Madrid on Sunday. 

The 22-year-old has a contract through 2023 with Betis, which includes a €30 million release clause.

The 17-year-old winger has drawn interest from Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain among others in recent months. 

But it appears the Bundesliga side are set to land the Vasco da Gama ace, who will sign in July when he turns 18.  


Chelsea won't spend big in the summer


Chelsea are not prepared to spend big on new signings this summer, according to the Evening Standard.  

Manager Antonio Conte is set to depart at the end of the season in part due to his frustration at the Chelsea board failing to back him in the transfer market. 

But whoever succeeds Conte is likely to find that the situation in the market hasn't changed much, with owner Roman Abramovich unwilling to splash the cash that other Premier League sides will.

The Liverpool star has been strongly linked with Juventus, but has yet to sign a deal with the Italian champions as his contract winds down.

Leno set for Leverkusen exit

Juventus confident in Darmian signing


Juventus believe that Matteo Darmian will be one of their first announced signings this summer, according to Tuttosport

The 28-year-old defender has fallen out of favour at Manchester United this season, making just six Premier League appearances.

And Juve are hoping to take advantage by bringing the Italy international back to Serie A, where he starred with Torino before moving to Old Trafford in 2015. 


West Ham won't sign Hart


West Ham will not exercise their purchase option for on-loan goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to Metro

Hart signed with the Hammers on a season-long loan with an option to buy from Manchester City, but a shaky campaign has convinced West Ham that he's not the long-term solution in goal. 

The 31-year-old will return to City with one year remaining on his contract, and is likely to be sold in the summer. 


Simeone distances himself from Arsenal job


Diego Simeone has distanced himself from the prospect of replacing Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager. 

With Simeone's Atletico Madrid side set to take on Arsenal in the Europa League semi-final, the Argentine was questioned about taking over for the outgoing Wenger.

But Simeone insisted that he's happy in Spain and that he hadn't been in touch with Arsenal over their upcoming coaching vacancy.
