LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - There will be no charges filed against any of the four Texas Tech football players who were arrested back on March 25.

Lubbock County Deputy Criminal District Attorney Trey Hill says the damages caused by Quarterback Jett Duffey were not severe enough to warrant a charge.

According to the police report, while trying to disperse the crowd, an officer observed Jett Duffey punch a hole in the wall of ULofts and placed him under arrest.

Police say they witnessed Linebacker Christian Malik-Shakur Taylor smashing the windshield of a car during that incident, but the victim did not want to press charges, so the District Attorney's office has also dropped that charge.

No charges were filed against Quan Shorts or Desmon Smith Williams.

Police were called to Bash Riprocks at 2419 Main Street for a civil disturbance Sunday night, March 25, while attempting to locate an armed suspect. When police arrived there was a large group of people outside of the establishment, some impeding traffic. Officers say there were about 150 people in the crowd.

While police were searching for this armed suspect, officers witnessed 21-year-old Christian Taylor smash the windshield of a vehicle, according to an LPD shift summary report. When officers tried to arrest the suspect the crowd began to act aggressively toward police.

Taylor told police that the vehicle had tried to hit him.

A K-9 Unit on scene also released a dog.  20-year-old Desmon Smith Williams to be taken to University Medical Center for a dog bite.

All four players were arrested Sunday night and released from jail by Monday morning.
