Rumours are flying about the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival

THE first details of the 12th instalment of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane have been revealed.

The annual style showcase will once again be staged at the picturesque Old Government House building when it kicks off from August 26.

Festival director Lindsay Bennett said Queensland fashion would take the spotlight during the five-day event.

While Bennett (inset) said the full calendar of events and participating designers would be unveiled in the coming months, we understand the festival could be attended by an international celebrity.

Organisers remained tight-lipped about the rumours doing the rounds, but whispers suggest a big name star will be part of the festivities.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane runs from August 26-30.
