SRPF turns to Nanded cops in scam case
Pune: The State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) has sought details of the police recruitment scam from the Nanded district police to take action against the candidates manipulating their answer sheets earlier this month.
Inspector-general of police, SRPF, Suresh Kumar said “We have sought details of the case from the Nanded police. We will initiate preliminary inquiry in to the case before lodging an official complaint,” he said.
About 30 candidates, who appeared for the open recruitment drive of the SRPF Group-II in Wanowrie, had manipulated their answer sheets, he said.

The Nanded police arrested employees of a software company in the city for allegedly manipulating the answer sheets of the candidates appearing in different police units in the state. The Nanded police unearthed the scam earlier this week.
According to police, the suspects helped the aspirants scan the optical mark recognition (OMR) of the SRPF Group-II recruitment drive. They then fudged the scores of 30 candidates.
